  I am a member of the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Sheffield. I contribute in all areas of research

  teaching and administration and from 2001-2012 was a Faculty Officer within the Faculty of Engineering.\nMy research is primarily focused on the mechanical properties of glasses and on nuclear waste vitrification and I run an active research group that covers both of these areas..
