The current state of public health has provoked a new paradigm of interdisciplinary research at top-rank \nuniversities throughout the United States and worldwide. Amidst this cooperation by the industry’s top \nresearchers
an increasing number of experts in the chemical sciences are now using the unique tools at \ntheir disposal in the practice of solving problems previously considered to fall under the exclusive realm \nof biologists. Indeed
the complex nature of the issues perplexing biological and biomedical \ninvestigators has presented the necessity to organize new concepts in novel ways. The capacity of \nchemists to access the “chemical logic” of reactions in cells affords them the unique opportunity to \nmake this dialectic accessible to scientists of myriad backgrounds. Consequently
approaching the \npuzzles currently facing public health from the perspective of chemistry constitutes an invaluable \npotential asset to the scientific community. The importance of presenting current research at the \ninterface of chemistry and biology is therefore paramount
particularly when the audience is comprised\nof the next generation of scientific investigators.

As ePunk’s “Chief Intelligence Officer
” Russ Roberson is the effective “frontal lobe” of the company’s neuroeconomical infrastructure. He maintains the company’s industry awareness and ensures that any and all activities of the company are executed only when the most current and relevant information is available to all individuals concerned.\n\nIn leading ePunk’s social evolutionary strategy and implementation
and as a member of ePunk Inc’s executive team
Russ is responsible for helping to drive the company’s revenue
innovation and growth. He fulfills these roles while concomitantly enhancing the social capital of the company by nurturing both consumer and corporate intelligence.\n\nPrior to joining ePunk
Russ spent nearly a decade studying the biological mechanisms behind mammalian evolution and the immune system. His experimental research has helped to identify ways in which adaptation and modification allow the best-equipped organisms to thrive and flourish in any given system.\n\nRecently
Russ has began work on the application of that research within social and economical systems. He has developed models to describe the juxtaposition of the social networking experience and the social retail interaction. Russ holds a B.S. in Chemical Biology from U.C. Berkeley and an M.S. from the California Institute of Technology.
