Currently a world-level figure skating coach, and a college professor in History and American Government, Ron Kravette was a national and international figure skating champion, joining the 1994 US Olympic Team as an Alternate. In 2010, Ron served as an NBC Olympic On-Air TV analyst for figure skating at WHDH in Boston. He has served on the Board of Directors of United States Figure Skating, serving on its Ethics and Grievance committees, and is a National Technical Specialist in Ice Dance. A frequent speaker, Ron has moderated numerous US Figure Skating seminars in technique, rules, psychological training, and personal growth. He coaches with a philosophy promoting personal growth and responsibility using sports as a metaphor for life. He is currently writing a book, based on his Harvard Thesis, regarding the change in figure skating in the US and the world since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
