I am a teacher and designer.

I'm passionate about exploring rhetoric, writing, and how properties of language influence both. I straddle the line between second language writing studies and higher ed composition studies. Currently, I'm branching into English for Specific Purposes (ESP) teaching, research, and leadership.

For design, I'm interested in systems and networks, especially how those concepts are defined and actualized in games. My thinking on game design influences my teaching, and vice versa.
