I am a data scientist with a background in quantitative social science. I bring a flexible toolkit to solving data science problems, which allows me to work with different programming languages, statistical approaches, and reporting techniques as necessary. I have experience managing a data science team, developing project requirements, creating final deliverables, and presenting results to clients.
I am currently a Manager: Marketing Sciences at PSB working in the Washington, D.C. office. In my role at PSB, I currently serve as a senior data scientist for the 2020 Census Integrated Communications Contract. I am responsible for leading the team performing all modeling and segmentation activities for the 2020 ICC. In previous projects I have worked on at PSB, I have developed and deployed a web application which gives clients direct access to data visualizations. I have also used supervised machine learning, web scraping and API requests to generate reports that allowed clients to monitor an ongoing social media campaign.
PSB has an excellent team-based working environment and I enjoy being involved in a constant give and take with such creative and dedicated people. Working in this environment and managing an excellent team of talented professionals has only deepened my appreciation for collaborative problem solving and working in an environment that places a premium on teamwork and collegiality.
I have a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from Purdue, as well as an M.S. in Economics from Purdue and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Dissertation:
In the last 40 years, states around the globe have increased the role of markets
in their financial systems. Using newly collected information on the educational
backgrounds of Central Bankers, I demonstrate that the beliefs of state officials
about the proper role of markets in the financial system influence the extent to which
state’s liberalize their financial systems. By tracing the liberalization experiences in
both France and China through secondary sources, I show that bureaucrats within
the state suggest reforms that conform to their neoliberal training when political
leaders turn to them for solutions to what are perceived as technical problems.
