\"The performing Arts are what our dreams are made of and without them
a small piece of us would die. It's up to all of us to keep that dream alive\"-RJC\n\n25 years experience in the Theater Arts and Dance Industry. Additionally
over 18 years experience as a teacher/Instructor at a High School and Community College. Currently
I am the Lead Instructor for Acting for Teens. A program at Cuyamaca College
through the Community Learning Department. This program is linked to an Anti-Bullying Campaign. A portion of the proceeds from our productions
are donated to nonprofit organizations that support Young Teens in crisis. In addition
I have over 15 years experience working with High Risk Youth. I am also affiliated with many Youth Outreach Programs. Finally
I am a proud volunteer for many organizations and youth oriented programs promoting art appreciation
enrichment and self-esteem
through the positive influence of the Performing Arts. \n\nWith a Masters of Arts in Strategic Communication and a Bachelors of Arts in Theater
this has allowed me
to return to my first love of teaching. I will be able to use my years of experience
in conjunction with my educational background
to teach in the Communication
Theater
and Humanities Department
at a Junior College
or a four year University. My teaching style incorporates nontraditional and traditional methods. A \"Safe Zone\" environment is monumental to me
as well as embracing and promoting diversity. Finally
creating a conducive learning environment
so that students can receive the maximum benefit from my instruction
is my final key component in my instruction process. \n\n\"Effective communication is the glue that helps you deepen your connections to others and improve teamwork
decision making
and problem solving. It enables you to communicate even negative or difficult messages without creating conflict or destroying trust\"-HG.org\n
