Rik Carl
D'Amato, Ph.D.
Chicago, Illinois
I am enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced about helping developing people who can make a positive change in the world. I do this by providing avenues for positive growth in education, research, consultation, and direct service.
My career has focused on empowering others to understand circumstances, beliefs, and cultures. My proven outcomes have used evidence-based interventions to improve the lives of children, families, their community members, and university/school educators.
I keep busy working with amazing students and faculty. We teach, conduct research, publish, direct dissertation and are working to develop a new Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) program that is American APA accredited. I feel my greatest accomplishment is working with students and faculty to produce research and books that improve our quality of life.
In my free time, I enjoy boating, movies, cooking, video games, biographies, ceramics, and world travel. As part of my Italian heritage, I enjoy creating new recipes to enjoy with my family.
