Licensed professional engineer (P.Eng.) working at the School of Engineering, University of Guelph. In addition to teaching subjects in Ennvironmental Engineering and Design, research being conducted in the areas of soil remediation, wastewater treatment and soild waste management. Has been recognized by engineering peers and made a Fellow of Engineers Canada (FEC).
Non work activities include golf and baseball. For baseball, has taken the courses and passed the required reviews to be listed as a certified provincial coach.
Professor
Research Interests include soil remediation technology with emphasis on SVE and bioventing. Emphasis is on laboratory experiments and numerical modelling with investigation of various contaminant transport parameters including mass transfer, biodegradation and dispersion. Research has been done on wastewater treatment with membrane technology, with emphasis on fouling tendencies and ability to remove pharmaceuticals. New directions in research have included the treatment of vegetable residue/wastewater at both producer and processor facilities, and the investigation of siloxanes in landfill gas.
