Adjunct Professor in SEOS. Teach courses across the marine science and data analysis spectra
and supervise both undergraduate and graduate students. Initially (1990s) I managed extensive oceanographic research in Juan de Fuca Strait and throughout the inland waters east of Vancouver Island with Dr. Chris Garrett.

Worked primarily on two major projects: Endicott and TEPCo. The Ednicott facility is a drilling island off the north coast of Alaska
near Prudoe Bay. We ran seasonal surveys of the coastal oceanography along the Beaufort Sea. For the Tokyo Electric Power Company we developed several computer models to simulate the injection and subsequent dispersion of liquid CO2 into the ocean.

VENUS Associate Director
Research
I've been with VENUS since the start: from concept and co-author on proposal to the latest developments. As ADR
I'm responsible for providing all of the support necessary to conduct research on VENUS
it's primary mandate. Prior to VENUS (1995-2001) I was UVic Adjunct (Research) Faculty working with Chris Garrett. I still maintain my own coastal oceanography research projects at 20% time.
