During my internship
I gained experience doing data reduction on comparison spectra and transcribed plans for a new spectrograph into AutoCAD.

Volunteer
Under the guidance of Dr. Elizabeth Disbrow and Jessica Ross
I used MATLAB to write software to be used by their lab in support of their research. The software allowed them to perform spectral analysis to explore the Unified Parkinsons Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) and tremor movements recorded by CleveMed Kinesia Quantitative Motor Assessment System.

Two nights a week
the on campus observatory was open to the public. Interested people
primarily students enrolled in astronomy classes
could come for the hour and see objects through the telescope while also learning about the placement and lore of visible constellations. As the observatory technician it was my duty to plan and carry out an interesting and informative presentation while operating the telescope.

Teaching Assistants in the physics department at San Diego State University are expected to run 2 labs of up to 24 students and issue quizzes and exams. The labs I teach are generally mechanics and vary between the calculus based and non calculus based sections.\n\nTA of the year for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Gutierrez
a group of several students
myself included
conducted introductory level research into the field of Quantum Computation. This included mostly trying to get up to speed in the field by sifting through many of the existing papers on the subject and creating theoretical simulations of the device proposed by Dr. Katherine Gillen.
