Position was contracted to NASA’s Meteoroid Environments Office (MEO) where responsibilities centered on understanding and modeling the sporadic and shower meteoroid environments pertaining to spacecraft engineering and operations. \nSample tasks:\n•\tHelped establish and maintain optical meteor detectors; wide-field and all-sky meteor cameras.\n•\tDeveloped programs to analyze data from meteor cameras
including programs to find automated meteor fluxes.\n•\tMentored interns.\n•\tLed an observation campaign for the May Camelopardalid meteor shower in May 2014. \n•\tPerformed analysis on meteor radar data; found mass distribution indices of minor meteor showers and attempted to find deceleration of very small meteors.\n•\tOperated telescopes from Alabama (locally)
Mississippi (remotely)
and New Mexico (remotely)\n•\tRepresented the Meteoroid Environments Office at international and domestic conferences and workshops.\n•\tSupported the Meteoroid Environments Office in public outreach activities such as online meteor chats and events.
