Flicks: International Film Festival for Youth

SK
Flicks was a youth-centred film festival that presented film programs that catered to the curriculum needs of Saskatchewan educators
as well as providing general family-oriented entertainment. In addition to film screenings and workshops
the festival hosted the Zoom In! Young Filmmakers Competition
and the Industry Film Forum. As the primary administrative staff
I produced the festival for two seasons
and I curated all the programs. Flicks closed its doors in 2011. \n\nHighlights:\n\nDeveloped new initiatives including: the Roaming Workshop Series
a fully subsidized program designed to bring film production workshops into secondary schools in Saskatoon; and the School Day Series Film Festival
