Adjunct Lecturer

Sr. Administrative Assistant
Under general direction, provides general administrative support to Mott PACU department and group of professionals. Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment and is capable of analyzing complex information requests and determining complex trends. Met deadlines regarding monthly and weekly required financial, timekeeping, supply, and employee specific reports. Complete payroll deadlines for; weekly travelers, bi-weekly non-bargain, AFSME, and UMPNC employees, and monthly management. Completed and tracked tuition support, FMLA, blue folder requirements, travel budgets, MNA budgets, attendance, hiring and termination of employees, E-mail groups, MLearning mandatories, files to storage, MCIT requests on unit ie pagers, phones, accesses to computer, P-Card requisitions, monthly staffing, and coordination of recognition weeks.
Patient Service Assistant / Associate
Provide clinical operations support to the Department of Otolaryngology clinics through service at the Otolaryngology Call Center. Responsibilities include: scheduling new and return patients for diagnostic services and ambulatory procedures; accurately gathering confidential information; obtaining current and new patient registration numbers; verifying and updating insurance; confirming financial and demographic patient information; provide excellent service to all callers (customers); answering telephone calls; e-mail or web inquires in accordance with established service standards and protocols; mailing itineraries to scheduled patients; managing incoming faxes; responding promptly to appointment requests; other duties as assigned by on-site supervisor.
Key Account Representative
Organized the key accounts orders by e-mailing reports weekly, placed custom and stock orders for the key accounts, assisted as a liaison for the Vice President and Sales Manager to the key accounts for any discrepancies in cost, issues, concerns or inquiries.
Prior to a promotion, fulfilled and organized all in house back-orders, transferred all account files into electronic files, processed orders over the phone, fax, email and answered online inquiries from individual sales around the world.

Administrative Assistant - Senior Director of Research, Office of Research
Proactively manages a complex schedule and maintains calendar by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel, while exercising discretion and judgment balancing competing priorities and demands. Anticipates needs and requirements of research directors and deans. Meeting and event coordination, including conducts polls for availability, reserves meeting rooms, arranges for catering and equipment needs, prepares and distributes agenda and meeting materials, takes minutes/notes, and coordinates action items. Provides coordination of communications for the Senior Director/Chief of Staff. Responds timely to inquiries and triage's to the appropriate party. Drafts, proof-reads, and edits documents and correspondences. Coordinates travel arrangements, including air and ground travel, hotel reservations, and create detailed travel itineraries and trip packets. Handles materials and conversations of a highly confidential and sensitive nature. Responds with tact, diplomacy, and discretion in interactions with internal and external constituents, including University executive leadership, department chairs, deans, faculty, staff, the community, and donors. Oversees and completes projects as requested, including assisting and creating presentations, reports, appointment and award letters, etc. Organizes and assists with special events, as needed. Partners with other administrative staff in the Office of Research to ensure cross-coverage and assistance, as needed. Maintains updated directories, contact lists, and e-mail groups for various committees and research teams. Understands finance and procurement policies and regulations in order to reconcile P-cards and expense reports. Organizes quarterly staff orientation and on-boarding with Senior Associate Dean for Research and Senior Director for Research. Provides support and works with reporting units, as requested.
Worked with elementary grade girls to facilitate patch completion. Organized activities based on age level appropriateness and interest. Provide team building exercises to promote positive development. Followed key principles of Girl Scouts of America. Designed outings and outdoor camping experiences.
