Good
Professor Arasasingham is very passionate about chemistry. To pass the class you must review lecture notes (anomalies), study Wiley, do practice problems and attend review sessions with him. If you're struggling, sign up for LARC, go to his OH, to teacher assistants OH and chemistry peer tutors OH. Looking back, I wish I read the textbook more in his class. Honestly, you will succeed if you work for it.
Good
Arasasingham goes over everything you need to know for his midterms (which are very clear) in class. I found going to the midterm and final reviews to be very helpful practice. I got a D- on one of the midterms and still ended the class with a B. The homework helps reinforce the course material and is assigned through WileyPlus.

The video lectures were unnecessarily long (70-90 min for what is to be a 50 min class), but the slides themselves are very instructive. We had unlimited attempts for video quizzes and online homework was pretty easy. Midterms were mostly good if you did your homework and understood the concepts.
Poor
Professor Arasasingham, has beautiful slides that is literally the best study tool or exams. He gives practice problems that really prepares you for the test. The final exam is optional. Negative things were, his lectures were very long. It took 90 minutes for a few. He decided to curve down this quarter without giving any warning. He's not accessible too. Despite of these, just study and you'll be good. Overall, he's a fair professor.
Good
Professor Arasasingham's slides are very thorough. His tests are fair as well. There are about an hour and a half to two hours of homework per week and there are unlimited attempts too. Overall, he's a fine teacher.
Awesome
I took Professor Arasasingham for the entire general chemistry courses. I really enjoyed his class. He's very clear about how he want things to be learned and what to expect on exams when going over examples in lectures. Personally, it's a bit hard for me. However, if you do your part, having a B is easy.
Awesome
Prof. Ramesh is a tough grader! His class is lecture heavy, but they're pretty informative and useful. He curves but only a little. He's pretty caring and understanding!
Good
Prof. Ramesh is the best general chemistry professor for me! I actually had him for 1A and 1C. He doesn't curve much, so every point really matters. His exams aren't as hard as you might expect. If you study, they're pretty doable! At times, he can be headstrong and quite tough, but he really gives good and engaging lectures.
Awesome
Prof. Arasasinghan is quite unique! He clearly knows his stuff. Actually, to be honest, I thought I was going to fail each class in this series. But he would always come in clutch and help his students! Big thanks to you!
Awesome
Prof. Ramesh's lectures were very helpful! I honestly wish I took him sooner. He explains everything thoroughly and I was actually able to understand chem after taking his class. Exams are hard though. I would suggest you really read the book and do the practice problems to get an A!
Average
Be sure to attend classes because he was a decent lecturer with straightforward lectures. I honestly wish I had. In his class, there is a lot of self-studying to be done, but that's actually normal in any class. Since his curve is so bad, make sure you do your best on his midterms. His homework structure is lenient, and his homework helps a lot; his class was certainly manageable.
Awesome
Prof. Ramesh is an amazing lecturer! His slides were text-heavy, but he went over each idea thoroughly and several times to ensure that students understood what he was saying. Midterms are simple and similar to in-class examples/homework/discussion issues, but they can be a little more difficult at times.
Awesome
I had Professor Arasasingham for the entire Chemistry 1 class. I can say that it's the best choice ever. He's a very caring person and will hope that you'll learn from him. Because of this, he's very easy to understand and his slides were conducive for learning. Also, everything is very fair in this class. If you do the homework, discussion worksheets, and practice problems, you do well on the test.
Poor
All intelligent honors students take Professor Arasasingham's class. Unfortunately, this class won't provide a curve so it's a tough class. I have friends who did much better with another chemistry professor because they had more generous curves. He does write the common finale, but I don't think it's worth it. Your class will be curved depending on your section anyway.
