I am currently an Assistant Professor of English at Florida A&M University since August 2019. Previously, I held a similar position at Shaw University in Raleigh, NC (2017-2019). In May of 2017, I completed my MFA in Creative Writing at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and previously an MA in English from East Carolina University. I have taught as Composition/Literature courses as a Teaching Assistant at both institutions, and as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Belize. Along with writing fiction, my passion is to contribute and continue my commitment to guiding and teaching students of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
