Professor Dunkerley is one of my best anatomy teachers. She will let you know exactly what she expects. She provides you with all the information you need for lectures and laboratory exams. If you study and put in your time, then you'll be fine.

Awful

I had this professor for BIO 104 online and there was hardly any teaching. Your grade is based on four essays, two lab tasks, and four exams. There isn't a summary or review sheet for the exams. The modules go over hundreds of words and you don't have a clue what you need to study. There's no teaching offered. She's a pretty sad excuse for a teacher.

Biography

Calhoun Community College ALL - Biology

Microbiologist II
Pharmaceuticals
Rachel
Dunkerley
Madison, Alabama
I have over 15 years of experience in fast paced laboratory and manufacturing environments in both the pharmaceuticals and food industries.
I have been directly involved in almost all aspects of manufacturing from production, quality assurance, project management, laboratory, compliance, accounting, sales and inventory. My latest position as a microbiologist for a pharmaceutical company has increased my laboratory skills in testing protocols while adhering to strict aseptic technique, SOP and GMP regulations. In a previous position, I managed 5 microbiology lab technicians for pathogen testing for Wayne Farms, LLC. I insured that timely testing protocols were met and that the data collected was accurate and distributed accordingly to various customer and regulatory requirements.
My years of management experience have taught me how to build strong relationships with all departments at an organization. I have the ability to work within a team as well as cross-team. I can work with various departments to resolve issues and implement improvements to prevent persistent problems from recurring, work to streamline processes, reducing costs and improving worker efficiencies and effectively analyze data to set goals to increase margins and decrease losses.
I have also had the opportunity to gain skill sets in other scientific fields throughout the course of my college and professional career. During my Master’s program at JSU, I learned various lab techniques including, but not limited to, Western Blot, tissue culture for both plant and animal specimens, spectrophotometry, sample cultures, PCR, SDS-page gels and slide preparations. I have volunteer experience with animals at a veterinary clinic. Here, I learned lab skills by collecting blood, viewing tissue samples, taking x-rays, and general animal care. I have also worked hands-on with various wildlife species and was part of the education staff for campers at a camp for handicapped children and adults.
