Awful

Professor Mackey was the worst teacher I have ever had. I found him rude, not funny and way too sarcastic for a professor especially at a christian university.

Poor

Dr. Mackey is a great person, but his economics class is not well taught. He has two to three weekly quizzes that are based on the chapter. He will have you take a quiz first, then will lecture, often times not even about the recent quiz material. You really have to know how to teach yourself if you take this class with Mackey.

Awesome

Everyone hates on Mackey, but honestly, he's one of the best professors I've had at Masters. While the material can tend to be a bit dry, Mackey finds a way to inject his great sense of sarcasm. The reason the class is dull is no one wants to talk, which leaves empty space in class discussions. Mackey's use of textbooks was great, as he fully incorporated two books into one lesson, and made it flow naturally. Mackey has tons of experience and great stories, and if you get off your lazy rear and do some work, the class is easy.
