Good
Phillis cares for her students. She continually emphasizes how much she wants students to understand biology. She challenged me all semester. I really had to work hard to get an A.
Average
Teacher really cares about the students. She pushes students very hard to do their best. If you get a bad grade, you can make it up. She makes test questions so that you need to know EVERY detail of EVERY concept. Study every day. Keep up with the book. Review everyday & do your Level best.
Awful
When you go to class, Prof. Griffard just reads off of powerpoints, so it's a struggle to show up in class. For each test, you have to know lots of information. You need to be constantly reviewing and studying everything you learned. Unless you are willing to invest a lot of time, I don't suggest taking this teacher.
Poor
Many people who have majored in Biology loved Professor Griffard. She is sweet. The work is time consuming and arduous. However, she was not the professor for me. You will have to teach yourself, the tests had things you did not go over in class.
Poor
She is very passionate about teaching Bio, but you do need to be the type of person who can grasp the concepts easily. The tests were a bit difficult as there were many questions focused on very specific details, unlike the lectures, homework, and powerpoints.
