Awesome
He is an amazing Computer Science and Engineering professor. He gave students who were planning to continue in the computer science Masters program really good feedback for the students that planning to go on the computer science field. His lectures were amazing when he combined them with his humor. His assignments were very challenging but that was because he wanted his students to excel as well as because he wanted the students to learn. Tests were super easy if you were in the Engineering group. You just had to show up the day before the test for review and ace it.
Awesome
I was worried about coding for my first time. His lectures were very clear and he explained material in a enthusiastic way. We had about 8 assignments and they can easily be done with the help of the tutoring center. Professor Miller really helped me out and gave me a lot of encouragement.
Awesome
One of the best teachers I've had. Not difficult to talk to like either, very friendly guy. Take his class if you can.
Awesome
Pro.f Miller is a really great professor with a big heart. Without his guidance, I honestly would not have passed this class. He makes the lectures easy to understand and he's willing to help in case you don't understand. He's very funny as well. I hope every CSE student could be able to take him.
Awesome
Prof. Miller was a passionate and kind professor for CSE 110 course. Prof. Miller made sure to go over the concept at an adequate phase since this is is an introductory course for Java. He's always available after class and is always humorous,
Awesome
Honestly he is the best professor I've ever had. He makes the hard as programming so easy and fun that you actually want to learn more and more everyday. He is so funny and I would absolutely love him! He told the entire class that even his office hours he offers a help in any other CSE classes. 10 out of 10 i would recommend him!
Awesome
Professor Miller is literally amazing. He's extremely bubbly, super passionate, and likes having conversations with the students. I convinced him to start using pure leaf tea and learned why he names his cats after Spanish numbers, all in one laboratory.
Awesome
FSE100 with Professor Miller was such a fun class! He really helped our group to succeed. His lectures were interesting and the labs are open ended on the time of the class, so you can work really when you choose. I'm just sad I couldn't get him for CSE 205. If you have the opportunity to take one of his courses, do it!
Awesome
Professor Miller is awesome! If you can, take him!
Awesome
Professor Miller is absolutely the best teacher I have ever had, a real gem, fair grader, very understanding, funny, and intelligent. He discusses every coding assignment, and offers examples on how to solve them before they need to be turned in. Miller is different from the other Computer Science professors at Arizona State, he is actually passionate about what he does. I highly recommend you take his class, it is very rewarding.
Awesome
Prof. Miller is awesome! Class isn't mandatory but attendance is helpful because he goes over the material in class. He's very responsive and helpful when it comes to emails. I'd honestly take him again! 10/10 would recommend.
Awesome
Prof. Miller is the best prof! He'll lead you on the right path to become an engineer. Attendance isn't required, but you'd really be happy to show up in class!
Awesome
Prof. Miller's classes are amazing. He's very funny and caring as well. I really like him!
Awesome
Without a doubt, Prof. Miller is my favorite! If you go to office hours, he explains everything thoroughly and provides excellent feedback. It really makes you think about how to fix your own errors. To help you remember what he says in class, he repeats it. Assignments can be difficult to complete with just one partner. Having a partner and having office hours would be really helpful.
Awesome
I decided to take the hybrid class, and it turned out to be the best decision! It gave me a lot of leeway if I wanted to get ahead (and then I just need to show up to lab 5 minutes for attendance and leave). He genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed.
Good
He's an excellent teacher who goes over the lectures thoroughly and is readily available if you require assistance. The quizzes can be taken as many times as you wish, with the final score being the average. There is 5% extra credit at the end of the year. If you try hard enough, you can easily get an A.
Awesome
Professor Miller is such a bubbly guy. He made sure to explain the material in many ways as needed, for us to understand the subject matter. He truly cares about all of his students and wants everyone to succeed. It can be quite challenging at times though. However, you'll really understand all the concepts at the end of the semester.
Awesome
I am amazed with Professor Miller's ability to teach a class that felt challenging, rewarding and fair. He's absolutely brilliant during office hours. Overall, I highly recommend him for Computer Science introduction classes.
Awesome
Professor Miller is one of the best teachers that I've ever had. He's the best CSE110 or CSE205 professor. He has fun and interesting lectures. His exams and assignments were fair. Also, he's very passionate about the project and accessible.
Awesome
He's an awesome teacher. He made the class fun. You don't even need the textbook because he will teach everything during lectures. Also, he gives us study guides for tests and the questions are just from the quizzes, so it's simple to do well. He's very clear about what he wants in our coding homework, and sticks around after class if we need to ask anything.
