Prof. Philip's class revolved around lectures, readings, weekly quizzes, and two papers. Lectures were very informative. Textbook was also helpful for further reading. We also had practice quizzes. Also, you get 5% of total grade for course evaluation too. Class is good for a GE but expect tons of reading.

Prof. Philip is super passionate about global studies! Class consists of weekly quizzes and as long as you do the readings, do practice quizzes, attend lecture, you'll do fine! We also had two papers on relevant global issues. Would recommend for GE!

Professor McCarty is an awesome and understanding instructor. However, he made us buy his expensive book and we only needed it for a few quizzes. On the brighter side, he gave two 1000 word essays that were easy. Also, he gave articles that can be read for essay and you can choose whether or not to write about them in your essay.

Awesome
Professor McCarty's classes were very easy. It consists of only quizzes which is 50% and two papers for 50%, for the midterm and finals. He also gives you 5% extra credit to your overall grade, just for taking the class evaluation at the end of the quarter. I would definitely recommend this professor.
