Paul M. Di Gangi is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director for Information Systems in the Collat School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2017, Paul was named Steward of the Dora and Sanjay Singh Endowed Research Fund for Information Systems. Paul is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) based on his work in public administration relating to policy, strategic planning, and risk analysis.
His research examines the intersection of digital networks and organizations with a focus in three areas: 1) role of online communities in business, 2) social media/ crowdsourcing, and 3) the influence of social networks on behavioral information/ cyber security. His research has been published or is forthcoming in the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Information & Organization, Information Systems Frontiers, and MIS Quarterly Executive, among others.

- Established a bridge training program for career transitioning students from outside technology field with intermediary certificate
