I'm taking art101 with Professor McLaughlin, and it's terrible. I don't know if he really knows that there are teachers apart from him, as he assigns more work than most can handle. Very rude in emails, and the discussion threads are super disorganized.

When I took History of Modern Art during my first spring sem at DCC, it was such a nightmare. He makes you memorize around 20-40 artists along with the pieces they made and the dates of publication. He can come off as rude and he doesn't explain things well. Even if you enjoy the material, avoid taking his courses if you can.

Professor McLaughlin's attitude towards students is terrible. Challenge or question him about anything at your own risk. He will not give any help, if you ask for assistance with studying fifty more pieces of art for each quiz. Unfortunately, I ended up dropping his class. I don't recommend him.
