This is a short procedural/instructional article on how to teach what I call the \"three-step short story\" to English language learners (ELLs). The same method

    however

can easily be used to teach native-speakers of English. This article shows how poetry can be the perfect tool to help ELLs become more comfortable and confident with the dynamics of paraphrasing.
