Awesome
Professor Orchard was great. He went too slowly through the material. A lot of students fell asleep in class. He doesn't choose what is in the homework. So it generally does not follow from what he teaches. He will give you tons of examples. He spends too much time during lecture.
Good
Patrick is really nice! His tests are exactly like Week in Review. You have super easy math in this course. He tries to explain everything and make sure everyone understands. There are 4 tests, lots of on-line homework. talk a lot though.
Awesome
Great teacher who has straightforward lectures and always answers questions to the best of his ability. Also really funny and good at keeping the class interested. Go to the office hours, they're helpful. Having a strong background in math will get you through this class easy. A very strong recommendation!

You will be good in this class if you are naturally good at math. He is really awkward and there is a lot of homework that takes a long time to do. However, you'll for sure get an A if you actually try.

Professor Orchard was a suitable teacher for me. If you're naturally good at math, I think you should be fine. If you're struggling, find someone else instead of him. Reason is, he can be confusing sometimes while explaining, even to me. Homework is 15% of your grade, three exams is 20% each and finals is 25%. The finals would replace any lower exam scores.
Poor
I can say that, 140 itself is an easy class. I made one little form error on first scantron and the grade I got was ten points lower than I earned. I went to ask Professor Orchard and told me to leave and set up an appointment. I came back just to have him sit me down, to tell me he has the right to deduct, if the scantron isn't perfect. Just a little petty and hard to work with, but easy.
Good
Funny and engaging class. Pretty easy, but he goes over everything a bit too quickly. Class combines algebra II material, statistics, and precalc. The homework was both easy and helpful.
Awesome
Prof. Patrick is very sweet and goofy. He gives online HW weekly and you get 6 tries for each question. He's very helpful! His class felt like a big HS Algebra II review class. Most of the time, I just did the homework in class and only paid attention when he got to something I didn't understand. I hate math, but he made class a lot less stressful.

Prof. Patrick is okay as a prof. He's smart, but he could work on translating it for the students so we can understand it better. Class was test heavy, but homework should help boost the overall grade. He's an easy grader as well! Super accessible outside of class. Due to COVID, he curved the class a lot. He was also pretty understanding.
Poor
Prof. Patrick is very smart!!! However, I feel like he's having trouble teaching us. If you've taken calculus before, you should be fine!!! If not, careful because his notes are confusing. I only understood the class when we had to shift to online class due to COVID. I actually just used different professors' notes and lectures.
Awful
Professor Orchard is hilarious. However, he's a tough grader and his notes don't make sense at all. His grading system consists of homework, three exams, and a final exam which is optional. During the pandemic, he did not post his own notes, no practice exams, or anything.
Good
Professor Orchard is the best in the math department. The class is difficult, but he's a fair grader. His exams are more passable than other professors. I suggest you go to Tutor John outside of class and no question, you will pass.
Awesome
Professor Orchard is an excellent one. He made complex material understandable to students. Make sure you study hard for exams and you will have no problem doing well in this class.
