Assistant Professor of Practice
Taught both beginning and advanced media writing classes in NDSU's Department of Communication. Advised the student newspaper, The Spectrum, as well as school's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Coordinated internships for students in the department. Served as an ex-officio member of the Board of Student Publications. Coordinated the annual department newsletter and served as webmaster of the department website.
High School Sports Coordinator
Coordinated coverage of about 70 high schools for Wyoming’s largest newspaper. Created and maintained content for a high school sports blog, created content and designed a weekly high school sports-specific page for the print edition, wrote previews and conducted game coverage and compiled box scores, standings and nightly roundup. Workload also included non-beat sports feature and sports news writing, copy editing and page design.

Teach a variety of journalism and mass media classes. Adviser to the student newspaper/website, the Clarion, and teach classes related to Clarion production.

Beat mainly focused on high school sports. Wrote a weekly column for a high school sports page, in addition to game coverage, feature writing and page design.
