• Design and Implement Writing and English courses for undergraduates
Writing for the Sciences – Developed classroom curriculum based on University’s General Education requirements. Developed all class content class including scientific articles for class work and research. Designed class for multilevel skill sets endeavoring to teach both freshmen ESL while including graduating science majors. Use of Blackboard 13 blog for “low stakes” writing assignments as well as other, more detailed assignments. Use of field trips to scientific symposium and lectures with students to emphasize the real world application of their research and writing.
Freshman Writing Inquiry Seminar – Developed syllabus and classroom curriculum jointly with a topic instructor for this introductory level writing class designed for entering freshman students. Designed the course to cover a variety of freshmen writing skills such as compare and contrast and the research paper as well as fundamental skills such as using library resources and forming study groups.
World Humanities – Developed curriculum for the recitation section of this this mid-level literature class covering literature from late 17th Century to contemporary civil. Developed all assignments based on class room lectures developed separate syllabus from main lecture class.

Provided an introductory, hands-on experience for disadvantaged youth living in a group home by conceptualizing and designing a media curriculum designed to engage and captive the attention of this emotionally and physically disabled group. Students were not only taught marketable skills such as camera operation and editing, but possible career paths were also emphasized.

The curriculum covered all facets of production including pre-production planning, script writing, gathering news, and post-production editing with example projects including a school newscast, public service announcements (PSAs), and producing DVDs.

Worked with youth with ADHD, ADD and LD.
