Prof. Cortland doesn't understand questions and will even give back unrelated answers. Expect to read unrelated and very long readings for every class. He also gives pop quizzes on most readings. You should also be prepared to write a short essay 2-3 times a month. He never gives grades on blackboard and only shows you the letter grades on essays. It will be an easy A for you if you read before class and do the essays.

The class was dull and just overall terrible. The only reason people liked the class is because Professor Cortland was kind. The class structure was just quizzes and essays due every couple weeks. The class wasn't difficult at all if you just read and payed attention in class, but I'd still tell you to take someone else.
