I am an Associate Professor of Management and Communication at Cal State LA. \n\nI conduct research on communication processes in organizational networks

and am particularly interested in the networks of organizations and individuals in the film and television industry. A recent project examined the effects of US state incentive programs on film project networks

and used an ecological framework to better understand how incentive programs effect organizational and labor networks in the states where they are adopted. \n\nI am especially interested in the dynamics which emerge over time as a result of *many* US states adopting the same or similar policies. In addition

I am also interested in collective action processes by organizations of all kinds. Current projects (with amazing colleagues) look at networks of NGOs in the Children's Rights community

and networks of scientists using web-based collaborative infrastructures. \n\nI especially love teaching and working with students as they prepare for advanced study and for careers of all kinds. Recent courses include Business Communication and Communication Theory

    Organizational Communication

    Research Methods

and I look forward to participating in our Bachelors Degree program at the California State Prison in Lancaster in Spring 2018.
