Nicholas Giordano is a Professor of Political Science at Suffolk County Community College, and holds a M.S. in Homeland Security Management and a M.A. in Political Science. He currently serves as the Political Science Assessment Chair and teaches courses on American Government and World Politics/International Relations. Recognized and well-respected for his analysis, Prof. Giordano is a senior contributor and guest host on Long Island News Radio 103.9 Your Island w/Tom Schiliro program where he provides in-depth analysis on current issues and trends within government, politics, international relations, homeland security/emergency management, as well as social and cultural related issues.

Due to the positive feedback Prof. Giordano has received from his radio and television appearances, he decided to launch The PAS Report Weekly Roundup Podcast. This podcast focuses on the critical issues that matter to ordinary Americans.

Prior to becoming a full-time professor, Prof. Giordano was the Regional Coordinator/Catastrophic Planning Lead for the New York State Office of Emergency Management (NYS OEM) within the Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services. He coordinated response activities with local emergency management officials and served as a liaison between New York State, local governments and federal departments/agencies.

Prof. Giordano’s accomplishments are far reaching. His leadership and expertise in the areas of government, politics, emergency management and international relations have proved to be a valuable asset. Prof. Giordano provides advice to government officials, businesses and organizations upon request. He also does speaking engagements upon request, and has given speeches to civic organizations, student groups, and community groups.
