Nathan is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota in the Rhetoric and Scientific and Technical Communication program. His dissertation is titled
\"In Hashtags We Trust: A Case Study of Ethos in Corporate Digital Activism Rhetoric.\" \n\n\nNathan's evidence of effective teaching began in 2010 as a Teacher's Assistant for the CIS 105 course in the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Before graduating with his BA in May of 2012
Nathan would go on to complete two internships serving as a tutor in the field of writing: \"The Writers' Studio\" online English composition courses & the \"PEN Project\" prison education internship. \n\nAfter completing his Bachelor's degree
Nathan attended Northern Arizona University
where he honed his understanding of writing pedagogy in higher education by serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. He taught English 100
105 and 205
the First Year English composition courses offered at NAU from 2012 until graduation with a Master's degree in English literature in May of 2014. He continued on to teach English 105 as an instructor for the university.\n\nIn 2015 Nathan returned to NAU to receive his second Master's degree in Rhetoric
Writing
and Digital Media Studies. During this time he also developed curriculum for the Design4Practice sequence for NAU's Engineering department
which led to his current graduate instructor work teaching upper-level technical writing courses at the University of Minnesota.
