  Italian and Spanish language and literature
  I was trained to teach either of two languages in the New York City high schools: Italian and Spanish. I received the Italian award upon graduation at Hunter college. I pursued a Master's degree and doctorate in Romance Languages at the University of Michigan centering on Spanish and Italian. My fields of expertise: the Italian novella; the Italian short story 19th-20th century; Spanish Golden Age drama; Italian theater 16th to the 17th century.
