I took Prof. Shahid's chem 1405 in the summer. His quizzes and exams are pretty fair if you are following along. He also has his own grading system. I suggest you ask him questions. Don't be intimidated with the lab reports because they are fairly easy. You would get a good grade as long as you turn your work in. He's pretty willing to work with you. Attendance is important.
