I was surprised about the poor comments for Professor Ijaz. I've never been the strongest at programming, but I don't think his class was difficult. The lectures were quite boring, but still the topics were covered in depth and concisely. Also, the exams were reflective of everything given in class. Overall, he was kind and respectful. So, don't be dismayed by the comments here.
Awful
It's a struggle to understand Prof. Ijaz. He has a thick accent and he is incredibly spontaneous with speaking. He gives random quizzes regardless if he has already taught it or not. You have to turn in the quiz before the time or else it won't be credited. Take a different professor if you have another choice.
Awful
I took ENGR 102 on my 1st semester. Two people from four groups dropped before the end, with no contribution at all. I had to do the group and individual projects on my own each week. Teacher assistants will be you closest friend. Go to them for grade adjustments, because Professor Ijaz won't help you. He's not in touch with his students. His class takes a long time and there is a pop quizzes. Definitely avoid taking his class.
