Site Supervisor
I am a Site Supervisor at the Child Development Center for the toddler classrooms. I facilitate lead teachers, and support staff with developmentally appropriate practices, assessment tools, curriculum and strategies to build relationships families.
I am a Baby Signs Certified trainer, and i'm trained in "Conscience discipline". I teach these at staff in-service training and with new staff. I also emphasize the importance of "Attachment theory" which is used at our center.I assist and support teachers and babies with "primary caregiveing" and "continuity of care" to form secure relationships at an early age.
The center also has a partnership with the University of La Verne. I supervise student teachers and observation students with hands on training in toddler classrooms. I demonstrate high quality from the standards of NAEYC.
Adjunct Faculty Instructor
I teach classes on theory, best practices and strategies to use in an early childhood classroom. I Show students how to set up a classroom which is developmentally appropriate for each age group and practical for new teachers to be able to manage. I introduce them to policies used in a higher quality classroom which is recommended by NAEYC.
