Director, Neurotrauma and Translational Bioengineering Laboratory
Part of the Laboratory for Neuroengineering at Georgia Tech / Emory, my research group includes graduate students, undergraduate students, postdocs, and research technicians. We study traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neural cell injury, and cognition as they relate to biomechanics, acute injury mechanisms, repair strategies, biomarkers, drug screening, and assessment tools for clinical screening and rehabilitation.

The Brain Injury Association of Georgia (BIAG) is a nonprofit organization that supports survivors of brain injury (both traumatic and acquired) and their caretakers by offering programs, resource referrals, education, and advocacy.
