I worked overseas for DoDDS for 33 years. While working overseas, I lived in the Far East for two years (South Korea) and Europe for thirty-one years (Germany). I started out as a music teacher. (Yes, I am also a professional musician.) But, an opportunity presented itself allowing me to become involved in technology. So, I completed three degrees in computer-related studies and became the computer specialist in one of the European districts. By the time I left Europe, I was an Educational Technologist, New Teacher Coordinator, Student Teacher Coordinator, Music Coordinator, and Staff Developer for CCPL for the Heidelberg District, DoDDS-Europe.
