Concord, New Hampshire
My practice includes advising and representing individuals and families on their estate planning, probate, and trust administration needs, as well as representing individual and corporate fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and charitable organizations on trust, tax, and other legal matters. For clients who require tax planning as part of their overall estate plan, I use my 20+ years of experience to develop an estate plan that balances their tax and non-tax objectives.
I enjoy developing creative solutions to meet a client’s needs. For example, I assist fiduciaries and beneficiaries in modifying existing trusts that, due to changed circumstances or a change in the law, do not carry out the decedent’s wishes as effectively or efficiently as desired – which in some instances involves moving an existing irrevocable trust to New Hampshire, which has very favorable trust and tax laws. With my clients’ needs in mind, I have assisted in the drafting of legislation to amend NH trust and estate laws and have testified in the NH senate and house regarding same.
