Many scientists are convinced that mankind as a species is doomed to extinction from the consequences of unbridled greed and its effect on the global environment.

I explore this idea in depth in a new book :The DOOMSDAY Clock: Planetary Homo Sapiens Die-Off: Selected science documenting global climate change including projected worst case scenarios.

Our current systems rely on the idea that markets will somehow correct any imbalances and that individual selfishness will result in collective benefit.

This is simply nonsense.

This idea makes it possible and even moral to commit extreme acts of selfishness in the mistaken idea that all will be well.

Personally, my new career move is to work toward making decisions from a species perspective.

It is the least I can do for my children.
