I simply love to teach. Not everyone does. That’s a big part of my teaching philosophy; love what you are doing. Loving what you do goes a long way towards making one exceptional at doing it. My results with my students and the feedback they have given to me and to my supervisors validates my approach.
I believe that teaching should be, must be, more than the presentation of information, that it should inspire wonder and curiosity. I also believe that teaching should have a strong connection with the practical. I believe that teaching should employ respect and empathy. I believe that part of what makes a good teacher is being a life-long learner oneself. I continue to take college courses online and am currently enrolled in a philosophy course on faith and a sociology course on racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity.
Teaching is all that I want to do for the rest of my working days. Thank you for your consideration.
Anatomy Professor, Adjunct Faculty
Michael worked at Los Angeles Mission College as a Anatomy Professor, Adjunct Faculty
Executive Vice President of Operations
I managed a team of four sales representatives. I assisted in researching and managing leads from the bird's eye or big picture view. I developed weekly meeting content and co-facilitated those meetings with the company's principals. I created and/or acquired all content for our social media presence. I am a skilled writer, creating and managing nearly every piece of content in our automated email campaign software, manual of policies and procedures and marketing materials. Anything not created by me went through me for editing and proofreading. I can lead, I can follow or I can walk with you side-by-side; it's all part of making it work.
Chiropractor, Associate Professor, Sr. Clinician
Senior Supervising Clinician: I was responsible for patient management/oversight, chart audits, quality control, accreditation compliance, intern assessment, writing and administration of OSCE exams and more. Associate Professor: I taught graduate-level clinical courses and chiropractic technique. I created all course content and tests and administered all aspects of the classes. I also taught continuing education courses for license renewal for four years, specializing in functional assessment and functional exercise/rehab.
Personal Trainer/Fitness Consultant
One-on-one, customized personal training. I was trained to be a trainer by the legendary Vince Gironda at "Vince's Gym", where I worked in 1982-1983, teaching the Gironda methods. I later trained clients at Beverly Hills Health and Fitness ["Butts on Beverly"], where I created and taught one of the first cardio martial arts classes in the city, a class that quickly became so popular the number of classes per week had to be increased and reservations were required. To this day, I keep up with new ideas and maintain a disciplined, daily workout routine...that's 40 years in the gym...I know what I'm doing and I could step back into training any time.
Records Review Consultant
If you need someone who is absolutely comfortable on stage or in a classroom, I am your man. If you need someone with a meticulous attention to detail, someone with exceptional writing, proofreading or editing skills, I am your man. I have a uniquely broad range of experience yet am always curious and eager to learn something new.
