I coordinated outreach activities throughout the state

as part of the Arts Across Nebraska (AAN) program. Such activities included student workshops and performance tours by Andean folk band Kusi Taki in four rural Nebraska communities and seven schools

as well as a songwriting workshop with Susan Werner and Trina Hamlin at the Lied Center. I also assisted with master classes given by L.A. Theater Works

Maestro Keith Lockhart of the Boston Pops Orchestra

and Broadway stars Jason Graae and Christina Saffran Ashford

among others. I most recently assisted in the preparations of the 2013-14 season’s Arts Across Nebraska tours and had the privilege of operating live sound during for a tour of the play What the Wind Taught Me this past September. In addition to outreach programs

I coordinated and supervised all operations for the Lied Center’s spring 2013 FamFest event

an evening of themed activities and crafts

followed immediately by a family-friendly production on the main stage. This particular event sold out at 2

300 seats. Due to my efforts in recruiting sponsors

    business partners

and volunteers for providing refreshments and supplies

and for presenting and staffing activity stations

the project came in under its small budget of $500. The feedback I received about this event was extremely positive. Many of my superiors and coworkers claimed that it was the most organized and most successful FamFest the Lied Center has ever had. \n\nI also attained grant funding for the AAN program. In June 2013

The Nebraska Arts Council awarded the Lied Center a Statewide Arts Education Initiative (SWAEI) Grant in the amount of $23

    000 for artist residency activities

upon the successful submission of a proposal I wrote. In April 2013

I earned two (2) Richard P. Kimmel and Laurine Kimmel Charitable Foundation grants for the AAN program

each in the amount of $4

    900. I have also assisted with the revisions of a $20

000 grant awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
