As director of a university-wide health research initiative I am privileged to support hundreds of faculty members across campus as we build a culture of cutting-edge, creative, and collaborative research at Texas State University. I also serve as Principal Investigator for Networx, an externally-funded research program seeking solutions to reduce postpartum maternal mortality, and the federally funded SHARE peer mentoring program to reduce health risk behaviors among marginalized young adults. I was previously worked at UT Health In San Antonio, UT San Antonio, George Mason University, and Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital in Washington DC.
My research team seeks innovative ways to improve health outcomes across the continuum of care through more effective health communication.
