Prof. Cuevas is an excellent teacher. He made learning another language easier for his students.

It wasn’t an easy class with Prof. Cuevas because he gives tons of homework which makes it hard to study and memorize vocabulary. However, he gives lots of extra credit opportunities and he is a very lenient grader. He makes sure the whole class is participative which is why it’s important to do the homework. He’s very funny as well.

Professor Cuevas is a good teacher, I was not a fan of how much homework we had. Has good sense of humor, gets everyone participate in class which important to do the homework he assigns. Gives many extra credit opportunities to make up bad test grades.

Professor Cuevas is my favorite by far at Pitt. He is not only teaches Spanish but will entertain you throughout the class hours. I'd love to have him as a professor again.

In my opinion, people who didn't really like this professor were people that wouldn't do the work and then were mad when he still expected them to participate in class. I actually learned a lot about the language as well as the cultures. There is quite a lot of homework, but he gives ample opportunities to receive extra credit.

For a beginner's Spanish course, Professor Cuevas was a great teacher to have. He is understanding that things happen that you can't control, but try to go to class as much as possible. The homework is easy as long as you pay attention in class and is an average amount.

Dr. Cuevas was a very good instructor. You will not only learned Spanish but you will also learn the history behind the different words and how the language evolved. He will make sure that we know his office hours so we could get help when we need it. He will answer questions in class and did provide an outstanding environment for learning.

Professor Cuevas did give a lot of homework in paper and on Wiley Plus. Just be ready to put in hours outside of class.

Doctor Cuevas' class was really challenging. There was lots of in class participation and homework. Overall, the class consisted of mainly new lessons and the tests weren't too hard as long as you studied. His teaching method wasn't the same as my own, however it did encourage me to study harder.

Prof. Cuevas is totally a good professor. Throughout the semester, he gave tons of homework. If you don't do it, he will call you out. Class participation is very important in his class. His class is quite hard. However, if you do bad on a test/quiz, he gives several opportunities for extra credit. He teaches really good and is willing to help you out if you are struggling.

Doctor Cuevas really challenges you to do your best. At the beginning I wasn't a fan of his class but now that I am used to it it's my favorite class on campus. He will call you out though if you don't do your homework. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. He really wants his students to pass and offers his office hours to everyone.

Prof. Cuevas was one of my favorite teachers this semester. There can be quite a heavy workload but it is normal that when you learn a new language, practice is everything. You'd be better off with a different professor if you're looking for an easy a. You can't do much better if you're looking to truly learn a new language though.

Professor Cuevas was a great instructor. He will assign a lot of work, but it's also necessary. Just don't ever miss his class. Because, you will get behind and confused when you show up in his next classes. Even if he is a tough grader, he will offer a lot of extra credit opportunities. Make sure to always do your homework or, you will look stupid in front of the whole class during participation activities.

Professor Cuevas' expectations for the semester were clear cut in the syllabus. Homework is not difficult in his class too.
