I'm an aspiring rhetoric and composition scholar. While working on my PhD at Purdue, I work as a consultant in entrepreneurial communication and teach business writing at Purdue. My areas of research interest include technical and professional communication, entrepreneurship, academic publishing, open access, research methods, and writing pedagogy.
Graduate Instructor
I taught two writing classes per semester, and over the 2 years I was at UNM, taught a total of 6 different classes. I had all the responsibilities that any college instructor has, which includes curriculum development, grading assignments, and leading all classroom sessions.
Graduate Instructor
I teach one writing class per semester in addition to my work as a PhD student. I have all the responsibilities that any college instructor has, which includes curriculum development, grading assignments, and leading all classroom sessions. This semester (Fall 2019) I am teaching a 400-level class in business writing.
Supplemental Instruction Leader
I worked side by side with an instructor that I took during my time at TCC. As a supplement to her class (or classes), I provided extra lessons for groups of her students. This involved creating lesson plans and then executing those lesson plans with student groups of varying sizes.
Entrepreneurial Communication Specialist
I write social media content, develop pitches, write grants (including an NSF SBIR proposal), and generate research reports on a variety of topics, including intellectual property (patents and trademarks).
