Mary L. Umberger: Ms. Umberger has taught SPCH courses at MCC since 1993, and earned her M.A. and PH.D. in Communication from the University of Maryland at College Park. She enjoys teaching at MCC because of the diversity and enthusiasm of her students, the professionalism of her colleagues, and the added bonus that she learns interesting trivia from all the speeches in her classrooms. Thanks to her students’ informative and entertaining speeches, she has stimulating cocktail conversations!
