Prof. Mark has a tough syllabus to follow. It's also very complicated to process. If you just need hours, there are more easy classes out there. Unless it was a necessity, I wouldn't take him. He isn't bad at all, but he is more challenging than others.

Dr. Hoekstra expects a lot out of his students, but he is a great professor. As long as you go to class and are attentive and take notes you will do well. A lot of students aren't used to a professor who actually challenges you to apply what you have learned to different questions which is why people think he is unfair or hard.
