Awful
He talks too much about his Spanish. He is confusing and as he lectures more confused about himself. Do not take his course!
Poor
Prof. Escobar's lectures are all over the place and very brief. He expects you to know things that weren't even introduced. He gives long exams like 19 pages. He is extremely rude when you ask him questions. If you want to pass, he expects you to teach yourself Spanish. I wouldn't recommend taking him.
Poor
Professor Mario Escobar is the hardest teacher I've ever taken. There were majority of Spanish speakers in the class and barely any non-native speakers. He's extremely tough on grading the non-native speakers. He always calls us out and constantly humiliated me in front of the class. Aside from that, he yells at his students. My anxiety got worse because of this class.
Awful
I wouldn't recommend taking Prof. Escobar. He's one of the worst profs at Mission. He simply gets mad at his students without a reason at all.
Awesome
Professor Escobar is great! I definitely admire him. As long as you come ready to learn and participate, he will teach you a lot. Don't waste time by thinking that this class is just show up and pass with an easy A just because you think you know spanish. Show up everyday, go to class ready to do the work, and you will pass.
