Virginia Union University—announced a promise to students at Carver Elementary; to provide them with mentors who would work with them as they moved through their schooling and
once having completed high school
assist them in the college application and acceptance process.\n\nToday
the promise continues to be upheld through the work of many hands and minds
including Communities In Schools of Richmond\n\nThe Carver Promise provides weekly mentoring and educational support for 340 low income 1st – 5th graders at G.W. Carver Elementary School.\n\nIn addition
