    I first taught Latin and World History

    as well as Beginning Greek

    at Marianna High School

    publishing articles in Classical Outlook. While pursuing the M.A. in Classics and then the Ph.D. in Humanities

    I taught for five years in the Department of Classics

    serving as a research assistant for Prof. David Levenson

    continuing to publish articles in Classical Journal and Classical Outlook. Afterwards

    I taught at Episcopal High School and the Middle-Magnet Program in Baton Rouge

    La. and completed my dissertation

    later published by Edwin Mellen Press. I began teaching at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science (Latin

    etc.) at the inception of the school in 1991 as Asst. Prof. and was promoted to Professor in 2003. In addition to numerous articles and reviews

    I have written five scholarly books published by Edwin Mellen: Jerome's Chronicon: A Translation and Historical Commentary (1996); The Domestic Cat in Roman Civilization (1999); The Cult of Isis in the Roman Empire. Isis Invicta (2003); History of the Wolf in Western Civilization (2006); A Translation of 'De Virginitate Perpetua Sanctae Mariae' (2011). Favorable reviews of the works have been available in a number of periodicals
