- Responsible for the Engineering Research Centers (ERC) program at the National Science Foundation
a member of the NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) program
and the Scaleable Nanomanufacturing (SNM) program working groups at the NSF. ERCs are one of the largest single funding mechanism at NSF ($40M over 10 years).\n\n- Managed a full cycle from solicitation to award of engineering research centers

resulting in four new ERCs. \n\n- Developed a complete draft solicitation that enhanced the programmatic goals on diversity to a more profound emphasis on culture of inclusion. The solicitation was further modified to incorporate the National Academies recommendations and published after my departure.\n\n- Conducted several site visits to ERC institutions

Mechanical Engineering\n\nResponsible for managing all the operations of the department consisting of 33 Faculty Members and 11 Staff
900 undergraduates from sophomores through seniors
and 200 graduate students.\n\nHired eleven new faculty members and integrated them successfully into the department over the past two years. \n\nInitiated and executed a Small Grants for Exploratory Research (SGER) program for mid-career faculty members to explore new interdisciplinary ideas and pursue new directions in funded research. \n\nDeveloped significant strength in summer online course offerings through incentivizing faculty to develop the courses and offer them. Online course offering grew from one to eight in one year.
