Currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning, Drake University. Conducts research in Philosophy of Education, Educational Theory, Social and Political Philosophy, and Ethics of Schooling and Teacher Education. Recent publications include "Habermas’s Emancipatory Interest for Teachers: A Critical Philosophical Approach to Teacher Education" and "Cosmopolitan Education in Agonistic Morality: Epistemological Restraint, Discourse Ethics, and Agonistic Pluralism." He is also the Director of International Programs for the Drake University School of Education, developing institutional partnerships, faculty and student exchanges, and academic study abroad programs.
